Book Related Thoughts

I finished book number 115/150 for this year's annual challenge.  I am 4 books ahead of schedule as of today.  Earlier, this year, I was 16 books ahead of schedule.  I am glad I got that far ahead, since I slipped behind.  Part of it is that the last few books I have finished had more pages.  I did start keeping track of how many pages I have read, also, but that's not part of my goal.  It's just for my own curiosity.  I have no doubt that I will meet or exceed my goal for this year, especially since I have several books that I have been asked to review, but I haven't gotten to them yet.

I started a Beta read for a new to me author.  It's interesting to do these, but I am glad she didn't have a hard deadline for me.  I've been waiting until I have time to turn my full attention to the chapters, so I can give valid notes.  I'm about halfway done, and I look forward to reading the final chapters.
